Hyde is an ideal central location with an Ofstead ‘outstanding’ primary school, the generous amenity spaces of the North Walls Recreation Ground, the River Itchen and Winnal Moors and easy access to the city and train station.
The predominant housing type in Hyde is period terraced and semi-detached homes and we’ve plenty of experience working on those house types in Hyde, Winchester and beyond. Our approach is always the same and that is to find practical solutions to update the accommodation for modern living and to create stunning interiors.
On Egbert Road we’ve completed two projects which are typical of the challenges of designing in the central conservation area. As well as ground floor extensions we’ve obtained approval for tricky loft extensions that maximise the available space with carefully considered dormers.
A refurbishment of a terraced home on Albert Terrace required supervision of the excavations and recording of any archaeological findings. Our extension created a large kitchen and living space overlooking the south facing garden.
Another project saw the reinstatement of a family home from two apartments. As well as finding the property for our client, we oversaw its refurbishment and extension into a stunning modern home.
Within Hyde there are many modern small developments and we’ve completed projects on Worthy Lane and Gordon Road. We extended a modern townhouse to expand the kitchen with an open plan family room. This created extra space and practicality as well as improving the natural light in the existing kitchen with a rooflight between the original house and extension.
For locals and those moving to Winchester, Hyde is an ideal location. Our extensive experience working on the property types found here means you can be confident that we will be able to assist you.
We pride ourselves on our personal service and collaborative approach to projects.
We’ll share your aspirations and be available with as much support as you need.
